Hey dudes and ladies,
Here’s my new book!

(Art by Luke Ramsey)
It’s short stories this time. Published by Loose Teeth Press who I completely have a crush on. It’ll be available on or around Oct. 10th.
“This is a place where the big heist takes place at Petcetera instead of the bank.
A place where romantic comedy stars have secret horror chambers and where it rains bicycles on occasion.
This is a place where anything could, and usually does, happen. This is Gumdrop Mountain.
Greetings! from Gumdrop Mountain is the debut collection of short stories from Jordan Stewart.
This slim volume contains 22 stories culled from Jordan’s website, The Broken Chair Essays, as well as new, unpublished work.
The often bizarre stories also manage to feel melancholic, offering a tug at the heart strings while never straying too far from the funny bone.
Gumdrop Mountain is available from Loose Teeth, a Vancouver, BC publishing house that focuses on first novels and prides itself on its ability to drink large quantities of whiskey.
Release date is October 10th, or you know, thereabouts. “
You can pre-order/get more info/see more art/and keep a tab on things here:

It’s got most of the stories from The broken Chair Essays and a bunch of brand new stuff.
I’ll have some around town when they come out for sure, but if you’re in the first 100 that pre-order from that site you get a fancy poster.
Your call I suppose.
Thanks a lot!
If yer not in the spendy mood at least check out some of the free stories! Maybe you will like them?
xo!

J-Stew,
You are are amazing and weird. Your stories always reflect that. Glad to have you as a fellow Vagabond, as your insight and creativity help keep me going in my own endeavours. More congrats than I can write.

Congratulations J-Stew!!!
I haven’t got to read/hear much work from you, but I just wanted you to know that from what I have heard I love your style! It’s guirky, thought provoking and nothing seems what it is. I really respect your work and wish you nothing but the best. Hope you can make it out to the group soon, and I hope to get a copy in the future. Also, really awesome cover! Congrats to that artist, his brilliant work compliments your own.
Thanks dudes,
I should be up in fredtown this coming monday.
At which point we can discuss world domination.
Actually guys,
We are switching back to Wednesdays for the winter months, as we briefly discussed. I hope you are free on the 23rd as well, as that’s the meet. Same time.
coolio,
JT
Yay!
Ever since i met Jordan at the literary stripper bar, where the strippers cry and read baudelaire instead of dancing on poles, i have known he was a brilliant, brilliant self help writer…
on a real note…
I am really looking forward to this. I agree with corey and about the cover. I also agree that there is something going on in your stories, that i have read, that i have yet to get, but that i know is there. Some other depth, like a childrens story book where there is the story but then another story about mice going on underneath.
Soimething is being said without saying it. And at the same time, your stories are a complete delight to read and listen to.
Love
