Campeye Comet’s latest literary adventure is participating in the 2008-09 Wired Writing Studio at the Banff Centre in poetry, working with Elizabeth Philips. Her play “our mouths are filters” was workshopped in August 2008 at Memorial Hall through the NotaBle Acts Theatre Festival. In the summer of 2007, her play “Screefing the Rogue Wilds” was also workshopped by NotaBle Acts. In 2007 she won second place in the Writers Federation of New Brunswick Individual Poem category. In 2006 she was selected as an Honorable Mention in the Fiddlehead 2006 Short Fiction Contest and her story “National Redirect” was published in the Spring 2007 issue. Recent publications include “Charting the rough route” in the Summer 2008 issue of dANDelion.
Kathleen was a co-editor of QWERTY from Fall of 2007 through the Fall of 2008. She ran the QWERTY Reading Series in Fredericton for two raging years of awesomeness.
Like a true Vagabond the past year and a half Campeye has ranged from New Brunswick to Nova Scotia to Nunavut to PEI to Quebec to Ontario to Newfoundland to British Colombia to Alberta and remains of no fixed address.
